skies, 80s playlist… it’s time to hit the road & say hello to our awesome
BBB businesses and partners
It’s finally beginning to look like summer in the
Treasure State! That means dragging out the barbecue, inflating the kiddie pool,
and revving up the lawn mower.
Summer also means your BBB Marketplace Managers
get to hit the road and visit businesses across the state – businesses we
likely haven’t seen since the tail end of last summer. With clear roads and
summer tires on the BBB rig, traveling the state is one of the best parts of
As your Montana Marketplace Manager, I’m looking
forward to starting my travels in Missoula and Kalispell. In Missoula city
limits alone, there are more than 60 amazing accredited businesses you can
trust and fall in love with. I’m looking forward to visiting a newly accredited
drone flight company, a popular brewery that recently earned its accreditation,
and visiting friends at the Missoula Downtown Association and the Chamber of Commerce.
I will also be working with local media to try to
bring you the latest business and consumer protection news you need. What that
means is reaching out to Missoula-based television, print and radio media to
form partnerships. Across the state, your BBB is working hard to reach you
where you are – in your car, at your desk, on social media, and more!
One of my last stops in Missoula will be visiting
with friends working in Montana’s booming tech sector. We know there are many
ways your BBB can partner and add value to businesses of all kinds. You better
believe that’s exactly what we look forward to doing all summer (and year!)
After Missoula, I’ll drive north toward Flathead
Lake, eventually landing near its shores in Kalispell. I have the wonderful
opportunity to attend the Montana Young Professionals Summit being hosted in
Kalispell this year. This exciting multi-day event offers Montana young
employees and business owners the opportunity to connect with one another.
The keynote speaker for the event is Justin Schenk
of the Growth Now Movement. Breakout sessions during the summit will cover
relevant topics like investing for your business’s future, trends and big
projects across Montana, SEO best practices, and more. This summit is the only event
of its kind aimed at engaging young professionals in their communities and
workplaces. That’s definitely something your BBB wants to be part of!
So, as I begin my travels this summer throughout
the state, please reach out on our BBB Montana Facebook page if you live in
Missoula or Kalispell and have questions about what BBB does. And if you see my
brightly wrapped BBB car on the road, wave hello!
