Two Parties for the Price of One

Better Business Bureau Northwest +
Pacific works with so many outstanding accredited businesses that share our
values and adhere to our standards of trust. But, every once in a while, we celebrate
an accredited business so stellar, when we’re there to congratulate them on
their BBB Milestone, it ends up being one of many accolades they’re receiving.

Such was the case during my recent
visit with Ron Tonkin Acura in Portland, OR. I was there to meet with general
manager, Jim Brown, to present him and his team with our congratulatory
certificate for 30 years of accreditation. Milestone celebrations are a favorite
part of what the Marketplace Team does. We take time to visit with business
owners who have been with BBB for 25 years or more and present them with a
certificate or plaque, sweet-treats and a BBB goodie bag. It’s our way of
saying thanks.

But this time around, I was happy
to learn this accredited business was also in the midst of accepting a special
industry honor. The Ron Tonkin Acura team earned the Acura Precision Team
recognition for 2018 – for the 25th time. The accolade was announced
on March 12.

“I am extremely proud of our team
for their dedication to providing an outstanding experience for every client,”
Brown said.

The Acura Precision Team
distinction is an exclusive award for select dealerships that deliver
outstanding client experiences and achieve operational excellence, Brown told
me. Ron Tonkin Acura was selected as one of only 91 dealerships nationwide for
2018. But what really highlighted their commitment to building trust with their
customers was that Ron Tonkin is one of only three dealerships to have ever
achieved Precision Team 25 times.

Talk about being a business that
consumers can trust.

BBB NW+P is proud to have businesses like Ron Tonkin Acura on our side. Our standards include being responsive to customers, embodying integrity and operating with transparency, all of which, I could clearly see embodied at this dealership.

Brown let me know, with a laugh,
that there was only one problem with the day’s festivities: “We’re going to
fight over who gets the cupcakes you brought.”
